It's been above zero for over a week. I haven't been able to water it because at night it goes down to only -1 or -2 and sometimes not even that. I have found if it's not at least -5 it's not worth watering.

Last night I went out after dinner and the ice was no longer ice, but hard packed slush. I will have to repair one foothole now. I plan on hitting it with a layer of water tonight and skating tomorrow night.

According to one guy, the fact I still have a 90% good rink means I did an excellent job. Not bad for a total rookie with no budget other than whatever the water bill will be.

I don't know what game you were watching, but the Panthers played the Coyotes in Arizona.

ya I guess...I've been sick but had to go to Rona early this morning to get salt for my hilly driveway....it seemed a lot colder, but now that I look it's only -0.5 here too.
